St. Mark’s raises funds for Icky’s

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church hosted its annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper on Feb. 13, serving around 250 people in the community for freewill donations. The event raised $1,134.47 for Icky’s youth center. St. Mark’s added $5,000 to the donation, for a total of $6,134.47. Ten kids from Icky’s volunteered to clean, set tables, and help serve drinks at St. Mark’s for the event. Icky’s is a collaborative effort between seven local churches to provide a place for students to gather after school and during the summer, where they can play games and meet friends. Icky’s is open to youths between fifth grade through high school. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is one of the seven churches that support Icky’s.
