MANSON – Love will be in the air – and in every verse and chorus – when the Manson Meridian Singers perform their February concert.

The show will be Feb. 11-12, just before Valentines Day, at the Manson Northwest Webster High School. The theme and title of the show is “Love Will Keep Us Together.” The 1975 hit of the same name by Captain and Tennille will be one of the many songs concert-goers will hear.

“It’s a fun night out to hear some live music by local musicians who love what they do,” said Andrea Christians, the director of the Manson Meridian Singers.

All the songs that will be performed have the word love in them, according to Christians. There are many, many songs that fit that description, and she had to narrow down the possibilities for the upcoming show.

“I spent hours online listening to music released by the various publishers,” she said.

Along with listening to songs, she considered the roster of singers and their vocal talents.

“And then I plan from there,” Christians said.

She said the show will feature a mix of slow and up-tempo songs.

“Love Shack,” by the B-52s will be an a capella number.

Songs made famous by Diana Ross and the Supremes and a trio of men singing “Unchained Melody” will be featured. Shelly Block and Dave George will sing a duet.
