Brown Bag Briefings at FDPL

The Friends of the Fort Dodge Library announce this fall’s installment of the Brown Bag Briefings. They are held at noon every Thursday, beginning Oct. 8, in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Library, 424 Central Ave. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Water, coffee and cookies will be provided. The briefings last one hour and the public is invited to attend. There is no charge for admission. First UMC rummage/bake sale ends today

First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St., will hold a rummage and bake sale to support missions. The hours are 9 a.m. to noon today. Items will be $4 per bag or half price on large items.

Catholic Daughters to meet Thursday

The Catholic Daughters Court 216 meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Corpus Christi Center. Mass will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, speaker Jane Klingson Morlan, a cancer wig specialist for UnityPoint, and a business meeting.
