Brown Bag Briefings at FD Public Library

The Friends of the Fort Dodge Library announce this fall's installment of the Brown Bag Briefings. They are held at noon every Thursday, beginning Oct. 8, in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Library, 424 Central Ave. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Water, coffee and cookies will be provided. The briefings last one hour and the public is invited to attend. There is no charge for admission.

Oct. 8: Mark Gargano, Webster County Jail administrator, will bring us up to date on plans and reasons that a new jail facility is needed.

Oct. 15: Chef Michael Hirst from the Iowa Central Community College Culinary program will present an in- depth conversation about the program and their new space and plans.

Oct. 22: Justin Goodno of 515 Wildlife Rehabilitation will present the array of species he has rehabilitated and what to do if you find an injured or abandoned animal.

Oct. 29: Shelly Bottorff will join us for an inside look at what is happening in the Fort Dodge Fine Arts, including Historic Phillips auditorium, and explore the success of FD TEA.
