Kendall Young Library announces adult programs

WEBSTER CITY -- Kendall Young Library will hold adult programs throughout the month of September.

Flower Arranging with Tyler Burton -- We will explore the art of Flower Arranging from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday. Tyler Burton from Peacock House Flowers will share some tips and tricks to a beautiful arrangement. Join us in the meeting room for a fun flowery time. It is a free event and no sign-up is required.

Adult BINGO -- Join us to test your luck with Adult BINGO at Kendall Young Library. Patrons can win small snacks and prizes from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This traditional BINGO is always a great time. It is free in the meeting room, so make plans to bring your friends.

Adult Daytime Book Club -- Kendall Young Library invites you to join for the September Book Club discussion about "The Correspondent" by Virginia Evans. Books are available at the Adult Checkout if you are interested in participating. We will meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the meeting room to discuss. A book for the October Book Club will be announced and available at this time.

Adult Evening Book Club -- Kendall Young Library invites you to join in the Adult Evening Book Club discussion on the book "Louisiana Longshot" by Jana Deleon. Books are available at Kendall Young Library. We will be meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 9 in the meeting room to discuss.

Books & Bourbon Silent Book Club -- Kendall Young Library is working with Wildcat Distilling Co. to offer patrons a Silent Book Club. Adults are invited to gather from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept.17 at Wildcat Distilling Co., 713 Second St., in Webster City. Bring a book, grab a drink, and enjoy an introvert happy hour. This event is always the third Thursday of each month.

Adult DIY -- Kendall Young Library will be preparing for the spooky season ahead with the painting of Haunted Pavers as the Adult DIY. Join us from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the meeting room for a fun evening and bring a friend. This event is free and does not require registration.

Fiber Arts Hangout -- Kendall Young Library will host a time to work on your favorite fiber arts project from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 24. Join us in the Genealogy Area where there are patrons available who can help if you want to start learning how to crochet, but you are welcome to bring your own project to work on and socialize. This is a fun time to relax and learn from others. All ages 16+ are invited to come and some supplies will be available. There is no registration required.

SPICE Club -- Kendall Young Library invites you to add some spice to your life with the KYL Spice of the Month Club. We will feature garam masala, an aromatic blend of Indian spices, beginning Friday. Samples will be available throughout the month while supplies last. This is a fun way to explore different cultures and flavors. Each month there will be a featured herb or spice. A limited number of kits will be available each month with a small sample, information about the spice, and a couple recipes to try.
