KYL to hold children’s programs
WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will hold story/activity programs for all ages throughout June and July.
Children’s Summer Reading Program — Patrons from birth to fifth grade, are invited to join in a variety of “Plant a Seed, Read” summer programs. There are reading challenges, adventure maps, and great programs each week. Details and resources to participate are available at the Children’s Checkout Desk.
Children’s Special Events
Family Summer Kickoff Party will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Live Music by Chad Elliot, big game, face painting, balloon art and hot dogs, chips & cookies.
• 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday — Author and storyteller Joan Enockson will entertain patrons ages 7 to 12 years old. Lunch to follow.
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 18 — Mini Golf by Wandering Greens at Webster City Market Night — sponsored by Kendall Young Library
• 5 to 8 p.m. on July 7 — Family Pool Party at the Webster City Outdoor Pool — free event for the whole family
• 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on July 9 — Patrons are invited to play the BIG GAMES in the Teen Area. Anyone 8 years and older or with an adult can stop in an enjoy the fun.
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on July 16 — Family Foam Party at Webster City Market Night — sponsored by Kendall Young Library
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 – Family Foam Party at Webster City Market Night — sponsored by Kendall Young Library
Children’s Weekly Programs
Wild Things (TK to second grade) will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7 and 14.
Fuzzy Ducklings (Under 3 tears) will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, and 15.
Hungry Caterpillars (3-year-old and 4-year-old preschool)) will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 18 25, July 2, 9, and 16.
Tweens (third through fifth grades) will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 19 26, July 3, 10, and 17.
*Throughout the summer, Kendall Young Library determines your age group by the grade you will be entering into in fall 2026.
