KYL teen events scheduled for April

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will be having variety of teen events throughout April.

Teen Lounge — Patrons in sixth through 12th grades are invited from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays in April, beginning on April 7. Teen Lounge will be held on April 7, 14, 21, and 28. Join us weekly for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more. This time and place is a come-and-go style event.

Homeschool TECH BUILD — Students will have time to Engineer Your Imagination from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 16 patrons will have the opportunity to free build using supplies from the STEM Cart. A variety of kits will be available to get you started as needed. This is designed for youths in second through 12th grades and will be held each month in the Teen Area. Parent participation is encouraged.

No School Movie Matinee — Patrons ages 8 years old through 12th grade (or with an adult) are invited to relax and watch a movie at 1:30 p.m. on April 29 in the Teen Area. Wednesdays movie will be “Garfield — A Tail of Two Kitties.” Movie length is one hour, 26 minutes. Bring a friend and popcorn will be provided.

As always, every day the Teen area located in the Kendall Young Library offers a variety of crafts, board games, community Lego build, Chromebooks, video games, books, and STEM Cart activities that are always available.
