World Day of Prayer is Friday
GOWRIE — Women, men and children in more than 170 countries and regions will celebrate World Day of Prayer on Fri. This year the women of Nigeria call us to worship with the words “I will give you rest: come.” The World Day of Prayer 2026 program is based on Matthew 11:28-30.
This year’s service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Gowrie United Methodist Church. The women of Zion Lutheran will join the women of United Methodist in presenting this year’s celebration. Everyone is welcomed.
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement led by Christian women of many traditions who come together the first Friday of March to observe a common day of prayer each year.
