The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., will be holding Brown Bag Briefings beginning at noon Thursday and continuing on Thursdays through Oct. 23.

The briefing Thursday will be a presentation by Carol Grannon on the new surgical unit that is being built at Unity Point Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

On Oct. 9, author and retired high school English teacher Ann Hanigan Kotz will speak about little know Iowans in history with her program Iowa’s Rogues and Heroes. She will talk about little known Iowa residents who made history.

Terry Allers will present a program on Fort Dodge architecture on Oct. 16.

Oct. 23 will feature Brian Bidleman of Beacon of Hope. He will speak about the homeless situation in Fort Dodge.
