Halverson 50th birthday bash and cancer benefit Aug. 3
Shane Halverson’s 50th birthday bash and cancer benefit is 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 3 at Rides Bar and Grill Banquet Center, 723 S. 31st St. There will be a freewill donation meal of pork loin, sides and dessert, a silent auction ending at 7:30 p.m. and music. Halverson was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2017, which has returned for a third time as stage 4, including both lungs. Halverson is married with five children.
