Elderbridge Agency on Aging and Upper Des Moines Opportunity are partnering for Santa for Seniors. As the holiday season approaches, seniors in our community need support, now more than ever. In some cases, seniors in our area are living on a very limited income and may not be with their family at Christmas. With the help of the community, their holiday season can be a little jollier and give them something to smile about on Christmas.

Each senior that is looking to be adopted will request their needs and wants which will include their favorite color and sizes. This information will be used when purchasing a gift. Due to confidentiality, names cannot be disclosed. However, Elderbridge and UDMO will ensure that the specific senior and sponsor are matched.

To ensure gifts reach seniors in time for Christmas, wrapped gifts should be dropped off from 7 a.m. to noon on Dec. 8.
