Cemetery Walk in Algona next week
ALGONA — Kossuth County Genealogical Society is holding cemetery walks and open houses Thursday through Sunday. The annual Founder’s Day cemetery walk is 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Cemetery on North Phillips Street in Algona. This will be a walking tour and those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.
There will be a open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Algona Public Library with a short program at 2 p.m. on Friday. Light refreshment will be served.
The cemetery walk will be presented again at 2 p.m. Sunday in the green space at Riverview Cemetery. This is a non-walking presentation. Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.
