FDPL Brown Bag Briefing is Thursday
The Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library are holding a Brown Bag Briefing from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the library meeting room, 424 Central Ave. The program is free. Bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.
The program is “Antarctica Travel,” presented by Daryl Beall, former state senator. After an incredible and literally sickening two-day cruise from the tip of South America to the Antarctica continent Beall found a beautiful, but foreboding land of four varieties of penguins, seals and albatrosses. Antarctica is a land of superlatives: coldest, remotest, highest, driest and most uninhabitable continent. No vegetation, but lovely icebergs and glaciers. Come see the wonderful pictures from Beall’s visit to this fascinating continent.
