Fort Dodge Public Library Brown Bag Briefing Thursday
The Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library are holding a Brown Bag Briefing from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the library meeting room, 424 Central Ave. The program is free. Bring a sack lunch, coffee and water will be provided.
The program is “Veterans Day Special,” presented by Larry Harklau, U.S. Army Veteran. Harklau is a lifelong resident of Webster County. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1967, where his mission was one of searching caves and destroying. This presentation is designed to give the audience a chance to ask questions about the war, his deployment and his service. After this program you will observe Veterans Day, Nov. 11 with renewed respect.
