Author visit at Kendall Young Library Thursday

WEBSTER CITY — Nathanael Young, author of “Animal Virtue,” and former Webster City resident, will visit the Kendall Young Library, Webster City, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The Jersey City, New Jersey, native’s first book is a collection of poems using animal imagery, humor, biblical allusions, literary references and various poetic forms to explore the challenges of living well in time of personal, political, existential and environment troubles. He has an MFA from Rutgers University and taught at Rutgets and the University of Nebraska. He is a full-time associate professor of English at Cecil College in Maryland and lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
