Veterans, families invited to event
STORM LAKE – Operation Engage America is a non profit organization that serves Veterans and community members providing free resources, support and education to veterans and military families and community members that struggle with post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
All veterans, service members, military families and the community are invited to attend this free open house event from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 30 at Kings Pointe Water Park Resort-Ballroom, 1520 E. Lakeshore Drive in Storm Lake.
This event will kick off at 1 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance, Storm Lake High School Choir, and inspirational Veterans speaking. The afternoon will include optional workshop taught by Siouxland local veteran, Tom Eakin, of Boom Life LLC. Also 12 year old Arika Hammond who volunteers with the Puppy Jake Foundation will share about what it means to volunteer and honor all veterans past and present.
