Federated Garden Club to meet Tuesday

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club will learn about making petite designs at their 1 p.m. meeting on Tuesday at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. The club will also mark Arbor Day by planting trees in memory of two club members who have passed since last Arbor Day.

“Designing Women” Loretta Daisy, Shirley Wolf, and Jan Krass, club members, will show examples of miniature (5″) and small (8″) designs and techniques. The program will include finding and adapting containers, creating petite structures, and selecting and making components for petite tables. Examples will include frames for exhibition tables, easels, “linens,” dishes, and backdrops and underlays.

Judy Touney will give the “Herb Note” on lavender, and roll call will be “my favorite flower show class.”

Guests from the public are welcome to attend.
