Brown Bag Briefings begin Thursday, run through October
These weekly sessions are held from noon to 1 p.m. each Thursday in October in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Attendees may bring a sack lunch. Coffee is provided. There is no charge. The meetings are sponsored by Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library.
Thursday: “Memories of an Iowa Country Girl” will be presented by Carol Bodensteiner. The author of Growing Up Country: Memories of an Iowa Farm Girl, will discuss how she came to write her stories of growing up on a family dairy farm in the middle of the country, in the middle of the 20th century, as well as the importance of writing and collecting our own everyday stories.
