Her family includes Larry and Colleen Lewis, of Henderson, Nevada; Bill and Cindy Lewis, of Kenyon, Minnesota; and Stacy and Jim Weimer, of Fort Dodge. She has two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Jess Lewis, is deceased.
Mary Cooper was born on Sept. 24, 1936, in Pocahontas. She worked in the Sears cash cage, at the school bus garage, and in the attendance office at Fort Dodge Senior High. She retired in 2000.
