Joe Riley

Joe Riley, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 85th birthday on NWednesday.

His family includes his wife, Becky Nelson-Riley; Joanie and Rick Hockel, of Fort Dodge, Julie and Paul Halligan, of Fort Dodge, Troy and Jennifer Nelson, of Indianola, Trent Nelson, of Fort Myers, Florida, and Trevor and Jessica Nelson, of Cape Coral, Florida. He has 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His first wife, Jean Riley, is deceased.

Joe Riley was born on Nov. 19, 1940, in Fort Dodge. He graduated with the St. Edmond Class of 1959. He married Jean Riley on April 24, 1965, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She passed away in 2007. He married Becky Nelson on Oct. 15, 2011, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He works part-time at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. He retired after 43 years from Ferguson Enterprises, Fort Dodge.
