Leanne Hartley

Leanne Hartley, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 80th birthday today.

Her family includes her husband L.J.: Larry and Ann Hartley, of Overland Park, Kansas; Bruce and Tracy Hartley, of Fort Dodge; and Beth and Kevin Wickwire, of Dayton. She has eight grandchildren.

She grew up on a farm near Corwith and was the valedictorian of her class at Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne High School. She then married L.J. and spent the majority of her adult life as a mother and preacher’s wife, directing choirs, playing piano, and typing L.J.’s papers. They retired to Fort Dodge in 2002.

She was born on May 11, 1944.
