MANSON — Wendell and Marina Pugh, of Manson, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 20.

Their family includes Carl Pugh, Andrew Pugh, Wendy Pugh, and Dennis Pugh, all of Jacksonville, Florida. They have three grandchildren.

Wendell Pugh and Marina Sagun met while he was assigned duty in the Philippines and were married there on March 20, 1974, at the T.R. Yangco Memorial Church. He served in the Navy and Army with combats in Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm, and Korea. He retired in Arizona from active duty in 1993. The couple then moved their family to Jacksonville, Florida, where he worked with the US Marine Corps. She worked at the commissary. He retired in 2020 after a combined government service of 47 years.

The couple moved to Manson in 2021 where they currently reside.
