Velma Iles

Velma Iles, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 3 pm on Aug. 13 at the Tompkins Celebration Center of Friendship Haven.

Her family includes Linda Peterson and Janet Behrens, of Fort Dodge; Elaine and Rick Gates, of Ohio; and Beth Anne and Mike Smith, of Ankeny. She has nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her husband, Freddie, and son-in-law Roger Peterson are deceased.

She was born Aug. 14, 1933.
