Gayle and Karen DeWinter, of Fort Dodge will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

Family includes Shawnda and Michael Omann. They have two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Their son, Shane DeWinter, is deceased.

Karen Shourek and Gayle DeWinter were married on July 27, 1958, at First Congregational Church in Fort Dodge. She worked at State Farm Insurance and later owned Merle Norman cosmetics where she retired. He is a retired plumber.
