Gerry Balke

Geraldine “Gerry” Balke, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 100th birthday on May 28.

Her family includes Carolyn and Stan Rogers, of Warsaw, Missouri; Cindy Elliott, of Fort Dodge, Roger and Lucy Balke, of Fort Dodge, and Stan and Francie Balke, of Eugene Missouri. She has 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Kenneth, son Larry, and great-grandson, Christian Thompson, are deceased.

Geraldine Bergman was born May 28, 1923, near Cole Camp, Missouri. After raising her children, she worked in the school lunch program at Arey Elementary School.
