Martha Hill

STANHOPE — Martha Hill, of Stanhope, will celebrate her 95th birthday on Feb. 6.

Her family includes Rich and Teri Hill, of Lyons, Kansas; Tom and Diana Hill, of Webster City; and Carl and Jeanne Hill, of Webster City. She has nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Bernard Ermels, lives in Des Moines. Her husband Richard, son Chuck, and sisters Betty Patterson and Helen Lee, are deceased.

Martha Ermels was born on Feb. 6, 1928, in Webster City. She married Richard Hill on June 5, 1946 and together they farmed in the rural Webster City area and operated a Standard Oil business in Stanhope. She has spent the last 43 years living in Stanhope.
