MANSON — Marvin and Carolyn Poppen, of Manson, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Jan. 4, 2023.

Their family includes Sondra and Michael Hickman, of Scottsdale, Arizona; Craig and Nancy Poppen, of Chesapeake, Virginia; and Darla and Barry Best, of Ames. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Marvin Poppen and Carolyn Widen were married on January 4, 1953, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manson. They have lived in Manson for all but two years of their married lives.
