John and Connie Elkin, of Fort Dodge, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Nov. 22.

Their family includes Melanie Ervin and Erin Halligan, of Fort Dodge; John Jr. and Jessica Elkin, of Fort Dodge; Jeremy and Rani Elkin, of Ely; Cheree Elkin, of Nevada; Whitney Elkin, of Fort Dodge; Brittany Elkin, of Fort Dodge; Cristeena Elkin, of Nevada; Elisha Elkin, of Fort Dodge; and Jayda Elkin. They have 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Their grandson Alex is deceased.

They were married on Nov. 22, 1972. He is currently serving as the senior pastor at Lighthouse Ministries church. She currently owns a daycare business and home schools her two youngest children.
