Barbara Baedke

GOWRIE — Barbara Baedke, of Gowrie, will celebrate her 95th birthday on Jan. 5, 2023.

Her family includes Fred Baedke, of Nebraska; Frank and Carol Baedke, of Story City; Johanna Baedke, of Parkersburg; Paul Baedke, of Webster City; Lisa and Gary Zeller, of Bode; and Darryl and Melinda Baedke, of Arkansas. She has 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her husband Darryl Baedke is deceased.

Barbara Johnson was born Jan. 5, 1928, in rural Havelock. She graduated from Mallard High School and Drake University. She taught middle school math at Central Webster, Burnside, for many years.
