Georgia Bacon

OTHO — Georgia Lee Bacon, of Otho, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Otho Community Center, 220 Rake St., Otho.

Her family includes Jim Hruska, LuAnne and Don Hruska, Curt and Cindy Bacon, Tim and Lisa Bacon, Sue Weiss, Mark Bacon and Tammy Strauss, Marvin and Sheila Bacon and Michael Bacon. She has 39 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, George Edwin Bacon, daughter Georgette Hruska, and son, David Bacon, are deceased.

Georgia Lee Matthis was born on Dec. 18, 1932, in Fort Dodge. She married George Edwin Bacon on June 17, 1950, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge. He died in 2015. She worked at Centralab for 25 years, Hickory House for 16 years and retired from The Cellar after four years.
