Melvin (Butch) and Jean Martinson, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 23.

Their family includes Mark and Bridget Martinson, Dan Martinson and Alissa and Rick Andrews, all of Fort Dodge. They have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jean Pogge and Melvin Martinson were married on Sept. 23, 1972, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Fort Dodge. She worked as a nurse for 40 years and he worked for Pelham’s Water for 36 years.
