Barbara Sawyer

HUMBOLDT — Barbara Sawyer, of Humboldt, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Friday.

Her family includes Diane Liddell, Kansas City, Missouri; Sherry Voelschow, Caulfield, Missouri; Debra and Steve Thornes, Ashville, North Carolina; Peggy and Craig Larson, Vincent; Joyce and Terry Peterson, Twin Lakes; Teresa and Mark Meyer, Fontanelle; Jane and Rick Nielsen, Gilmore City; and Rick and Joe Sawyer, Elizabeth, Colorado. She has 21 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Marvin Sawyer, and sons-in-law Jack Liddell and Gordy Voelschow are deceased.

Barbara Nilles was born on Sept. 2, 1932, in Hamilton County. She helped her husband with farming and is an Iowa Hawkeye fan.
