Janice Peterson

MOORLAND — Janice Peterson, of Moorland, will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 9 in the Pliner room at Hidden Acres, Dayton. Friends and family are welcome to join her and her family for snacks and to take a walk on the nature trail dedicated to her late grandson, Ben Peterson.

Her family includes her husband, Bill, and Paul and Stephanie Peterson, of Eagle Grove; Sandy Peterson, of Lenox; Marilyn and Rock Behne, of Story City; Bill and Christi Peterson, of Des Moines; Joyce Peterson, of Fort Dodge; Keith and Catherine Peterson, of Moorland; Marie Berg, of Fort Dodge; Chuck Peterson, of Fort Dodge; and Rich and Valerie Peterson, of Fort Dodge. She has 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Janice Struecker was born on July 4, 1937. She is a licensed practical nurse and has worked at various hospitals and retirement homes. She and her husband are both retired.
