Robert Sexton

MANSON — Robert “Bob” Sexton, of Manson, celebrated his 102nd birthday Thursday.

His family includes his wife Teresa; his children Nancy, Karen and Mary Katherine; and 11 stepchildren. He also has nine grandchildren, 28 stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 43 stepgreat-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Sexton was born on April 21, 1920, in Jolley. He graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy in Guam from 1943 to 1945. He returned to the area to farm following his discharge. He married Teresa Fitzgerald on May 28, 1974. The couple made their home in Manson. He retired in 1985 from the ASCS office.
