Mickey O’Connor

Mickey O’Connor, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7 at the VFW, 518 S. 29th St.

Her family includes Vickie and Dennis Berkland, of Prior Lake, Minnesota; Dan and Debbie O’Connor, of Fort Dodge; Don O’Connor, of Fort Dodge; and son-in-law Rod Boddicker, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She has 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Doc O’Connor, and daughter, Debbie Boddicker, are deceased.

She was born May 4, 1932, in George, Iowa. She started working as a gas station manager then transitioned to a long career of caretaking. Her many jobs included being a homemaker health-aide, hospice worker, and babysitter to countless kids of family and friends throughout the years .
