Bill Nimke

MANSON — Wilfred (Bill) Nimke, of Manson, celebrated his 100th birthday on April 23.

His family includes daughter-in-law Sandy Nimke, Manson; daughter Theodora (Teddy) and David Drost of Olathe, Kansas; son Marvin and Danette Nimke, of Manson; son Gary and Marlene Nimke of Palmer. He has 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His wife, Eldora (married 73 years), his oldest son Martin Nimke, and two great-grandchildren are deceased.

He was born April 23, 1922 on a farm west of Fort Dodge. He farmed all his life at Clare, Somers, Rockwell City and Manson.
