Karl and Pat Hollman

BURNSIDE — Pat and Karl Hollman, of Burnside, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on Nov. 20.

Their family includes Brian Hollman, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Steven Hollman, of Gowrie; and Emily and Drew Hillman, of West Des Moines. Their oldest daughter Valerie is deceased.

They were married Nov. 20, 1976, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Dodge. Pat Hollman is a 1972 graduate of Fonda Community High School and the College of Saint Mary in Omaha with a degree in nursing. She worked for many years at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge on a surgical floor, the dialysis unit and in ICU. Later she worked for Hines and Associates as a utilization review nurse. Karl Hollman is a 1970 graduate of Central Webster High School in Burnside and Iowa Central Community College. He raised purebred Yorkshires for many years with his brother Ivan and Dale Westre (W&H Yorkshires). Later he worked at various hog units.
