Betty Albrecht

Betty Albrecht, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 9, at the home of Steve and Chris Albrecht, 3281 230th St., Manson.

Her family includes Donna and Richard Lewis, of Ottumwa; Steve and Chris Albrecht, of Manson; Dennis and Tammie Albrecht, of Fort Dodge; Kimberly Worden, of Fort Dodge; and Brady Compton. She has 31 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Lloyd Albrecht, and daughter, Linda Compton, are deceased.

Betty Lamaak was born on Oct. 7, 1931, in Sac County. She married Lloyd Albrecht in December 1949 and they moved to Fort Dodge in 1963. Her husband died in 1995. She worked at Central Lab until retiring in 1991.
