James La Velle

GILMORE CITY — James Francis La Velle, of Gilmore City, will celebrate his 80th birthday on Tuesday.

His family includes Mike and Nancy La Velle, of Norwalk; John La Velle, of Fort Dodge; Linda and Sean McTaggart, of Ankeny; and Diane and Chris Brock, of Fort Dodge. He has 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His wife Sheila is deceased.

La Velle was born on Aug. 3,1941. He married Sheila Halligan on Aug. 14,1965. He worked as an electrician for many years, before finishing out his career at Calcium Products.
