R. Bruce and Dianne Cochrane will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27.

Their family includes R. William and Mellisa Cochrane, of Austin, Texas; John and Julia Cochrane, of Fort Dodge; Douglas Cochrane, of Des Moines; Kate and Josh Nelson, of Belmond; and Alexandria and Pat Cashmore, of Iowa City. They have seven grandchildren.

They were married on Feb. 27, 1971, in Clarkson, Nebraska. He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force and later completed residencies in both first Prosthodontics and then also Periodontics at University of Missouri Kansas City Dental/Medical Center. She was the national advertising manager of the House of Fabrics chain of stores. They moved to Fort Dodge in 1977.
