Burdette and Karen Shipman

Burdette and Karen Shipman, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Their family includes Randy and Roxie Shipman, of Fort Dodge; Cindy and Dave Roberts, of Harlingen, Texas; Kim and Joe Kesterson. of Denton, Texas; and Mark Shipman, of Denton, Texas. They have 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Their daughter, Brenda Shipman, is deceased.

Karen Williams and Burdette Shipman were married on Jan. 20, 1956, in Fort Dodge. He worked at Friskies and is retired. She worked at at Globe Union and the Sandstone.
