Cheryl and Darryl Landsverk

THOR — Darryl and Cheryl Landsverk, of Thor, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Darryl Landsverk and Cheryl Egertson were married Nov. 15, 1980, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Hopkins, Minnesota.

They lived in Fort Dodge while he was youth director at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. He was ordained at St. Olaf in June 1982 and accepted a call to Gloria Dei Lutheran in Williston, North Dakota. He also accepted calls to Rainy Butte and Our Redeemer Lutheran Churches in New England, North Dakota; Augustana Lutheran Church in Minot, North Dakota; Badger Lutheran Church in Badger; semi-retired and now at Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor.

Her job history includes teaching school, giving private music lessons, being a licensed optician, a legal researcher, and operations manager for JoAnn Fabrics.
