Cheryl and Vernon Schmitz

Vernon (Butch) and Cheryl (Sherry) Schmitz, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Their family includes Vernon M. Schmitz and Christopher Schmitz, both of Fort Dodge. They have four grandchildren.

Cheryl Tague and Vernon Schmitz were married on Sept. 11, 1970.
