Dennis Den Hartog, of Fort Dodge, is celebrating his 80th birthday today.

His family includes his wife of 59 years, Eleanor; Michael and Grace Den Hartog, of Anaheim, California; Robert and Trish Den Hartog, of Savage, Minnesota; and Stuart and Corrina Den Hartog, of Arvada, Colorado. He has six grandchildren.

Den Hartog was born on Sept. 19, 1940 in Doon. He is a retired high school teacher.
