Donald Schadegg

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. — Retired Maj. Donald Schadegg, formerly of Fort Dodge, celebrated his 90th birthday on Saturday.

His family includes his wife, Catherine Schadegg, Deborah and Michael Schuh, of Fort Dodge; Cynthia Schadegg, of Fort Dodge; Mark and Donna Schadegg, of Noble, Oklahoma; and Steven Schadegg, of Pleasant Hill, California. He has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Schadegg was born on April 25, 1930, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years. He retired in 1998.
