Bonny Hammer

Bonny Hammer, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Wednesday.

Her family includes Barb Brown, of Fort Dodge; Lee and Shari Hammer, of Ankeny; and Jan and Tom Green, of Indianola. She has 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Darwin Hammer, and daughter, Marcia Borer, are deceased.

Bonny Booge was born April 22, 1930, on a farm near Palmer. Following high school graduation, she attended beauty school in Fort Dodge where she met and married Darwin Hammer. She taught cosmetology at Bernels and La’James.
