Betty Schneider

Betty Schneider, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Feb. 10.

Her family includes Diane Amandus, Omaha, Nebraska; Mike Urban, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Nancy and Cliff Weldon, Fort Dodge; Claudine and Ron Glynn, Boone; Roxanne and Randy Hirsch, Paton; and Tom and Lisa Urban, Newmanstown, Pennsylvania. She has 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband Jim and one granddaugther are deceased.

She was born Feb. 10, 1930, raised in the Dayton area and attended Otho schools. She was a homemaker and lived one mile from the Bohemian Hall. She was president of Good Sams Club for many years, served on the VFW Auxiliary in Callender, and was a medical aide at Friendship Haven east building for more than 10 years. She has wintered in the Rio Grande Valley for over 40 years where she volunteered as a teacher’s helper.
