Her family includes her husband, Gail, Suzzan and Nels Ferguson, of Cedar Rapids; Richard and Melinda Foster, of Pocahontas; LuAnn and Wayne Urban, of St Joseph, Missouri. She has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her grandson Micah Foster is deceased.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1940, in Dolliver, and has been married for 62 yrs.
