Kate Wood, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 100th birthday on Dec. 10.

Her family includes Walter and Janis Wood; William and Fran Wood, of Fort Dodge; Gary and Joyce VanArsdale, of West Richland, Washington. She has eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her husband Pete, daughter Rosemary Miller and son-in-law Doug Miller are deceased.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1919, in Denver, Colorado, and her family moved to Fort Dodge when she was less than a year old.
