Marilyn Harder

Marilyn Harder, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 85th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven.

Her family includes Kathy and Lee Khommanyvong, of Rockwell City; Steve and Denae Harder, of Des Moines; and Ann and Robb Reid, of Minneapolis. Her step-children include Donn and Abby Henshaw, Paula and Paul Moyer, Jody and Bernie Halverson, and Drew and Erin Henshaw. She has eight grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Her husband, Eldo Harder, and her husband, Donald “Doc” Henshaw, are deceased.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1934. She worked at Lutheran Hospital, Geo. A. Hormel, and A-1 Home Healthcare as a registered nurse.
